7 days...

One week.
One week from today.
One week from today will be my wedding day.
One week from today I will wake up excited & anxious.
One week from today I will worry about too many details.
One week from today I will remember to be calm.
One week from today will start the next chapter.
One week from today.
One week.

8 days...

Ah, the beauty and fragrance of fresh flowers.  I can't wait to put those bouquets together with my mom.  That's right - I said "put those bouquets together".  We're not having the formal bride, bridesmaid, etc. bouquets... instead, we're ordering a bunch of fresh flowers and taking the morning of the wedding day to arrange them however we want into centerpieces and 3 small bunches for me & my two best ladies to carry down the aisle with us.  I'm really looking forward to what I know will be beautiful creations, made by mother & daughter.

9 days...

My thought processes went something like this:  "Oh, it's raining.  Boo.  Why didn't I bring an umbrella today? Grumble, grumble.  Hrmph.  Oh.  I hope it doesn't rain next Friday.  Oh!  Wait!  I can just check the 10-day forecast!"  That's right, folks.  We're within range of the 10-day forecast.  Every event planner's best friend, especially when it comes to outdoor festivities.  Here's where we are... as of now, June 15th looks like the PERFECT day.

Let's just change the plans.  Can't be that hard, right?

10 days...

And........ GO!

Now the countdown REALLY begins.  I cannot believe there are only ten days left until I will stand next to this man I love entirely, pledging that love and support for years to come.

Ten. Days. I had to look at a calendar and count again just to make sure I wasn't making it up.

There is SO much to do in these next 10 days.  Must remember not to put too much pressure on myself.  It's gonna be great, no matter what.

TEN DAYS!

12 days...

Every Kiss Begins with Kay.
Zales - The Diamond Store since 1924.
He went to Jared (The Galleria of Jewelry).

So many places to get a wedding band.  Two, in fact.  For no other reason than proximity to our apartment, (there's no Kay or Jared's on Steinway Street, people) Zales was the winner for us.

White gold.  Perhaps with an engraving at a later time (amore vole fe).  Simple. Stunning.

Now - where to put them so we don't lose them before the big day!?

13 days...

There are currently six wedding dresses in my apartment.  SIX.  Allow me to re-phrase... there are currently more wedding dresses than there are rooms in my apartment.  How exactly did that happen?

14 days...

That's two weeks, for those of you who don't like to think in "days".  Two. Weeks.  Crazy.

I'm at a tipping point between excited and exhausted.  Excited for the fun.  Exhausted by the details.  It's not even a big wedding and there are still so many things to plan.  I can't imagine what the lovely couple I know who are having close to 200 guests at their shindig went through to make it to their big day: the seating arrangements alone sounded like more work than I'd care to ever do for a party.  (They're getting married tomorrow, June 5th, by the way - SHOUT OUT to you J&J!)

I'm going to try to live in the excited world.  Anyone want to push me more towards that so I fully tip over?  Thanks.
